Social media marketing isn’t new, but it’s quickly becoming the way to actively promote the sale of real estate in Canada.
To successfully apply social media marketing techniques, there are three areas of business in which we must excel. Those are communication, applications of technology, and education.
We communicate with the local real estate market using available technology (smartphones, tablets, etc.) to stay active on various social media platforms, including but not limited to: Multiple Listings Service (MLS), Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Houzz, and LinkedIn.
We will use these platforms to post video and photographs of your home, with the goal of reaching as many eyes as possible, and bringing a good-sized crowd to your open house. We’ll use experts in the field to apply new technology, such as using photography drones to capture video and aerial photographs of your property.
When it comes to your open house, we’ll still use the traditional “Open House Today!” signs, because you never know who may be driving by and want to drop in and fall in love with your home.
Occasionally, we also turn to traditional advertising methods to reach our audience, including newspapers, radio and television. These aren’t as popular as they used to be, but are still effective when used appropriately.
When it comes to education, in addition to our licensing process, we have also taken courses in marketing and the psychology of sales, which gives us the tools to reach out, negotiate fairly, and potentially salvage deals that might otherwise not happen.
